Why Attend

Three reasons to
be in the room.

Every Markit event is designed around a single purpose: putting the right people in the same room. What happens next is up to you.

🎤
01

Pitch to Professionals

Present your project directly to MARKIT's team of producers, financiers, and sales experts. Two selected filmmakers pitch to a live panel of industry professionals for real-time feedback, funding consideration, distribution interest, or production support. Your project. Real eyes. Real feedback.

🎓
02

Learn from Industry Leaders

Hear from renowned speakers including directors, writers, distribution specialists, and financiers who are active in the market right now — not theoretical, but practitioners sharing what actually works today in independent film and television. Practical, honest, immediately applicable insights.

🤝
03

Build Your Network

Connect with a vibrant community of filmmakers — from emerging talent to established professionals — in a setting designed for genuine collaboration. The conversations that change careers don't happen in pitch rooms. They happen between sessions, over cocktails, with the right people in the right room at the right moment.
